Timbers Acquire Jeremy Hall from New York inExchange for 3rd Round Draft Pick

And then there were five...

Today the Timbers FO announced that they have acquired New York's 11th round draft pick from 2009's SuperDraft, Jeremy Hall; a defender/midfielder who has played in 37 and started in 31 games for New York over the 2009/2010 seasons.

No specific reasons were given by the Timbers FO, unfortunately, but one would assume he is planned to be used as a fast and speedy sub, possibly for a veteran who is planned to fill that role in 2011.

"Jeremy is a versatile, young footballer who has a tremendous upside," Wilkinson said.

We'll have to wait and see how Wednesday's expansion draft plays out to see the big picture. Aside from that, however, this is certainly an interesting development.
