Some potentially large news for the Timbers FO today as John Rooney, the (in)famous Wayne Rooney's brother, has officially signed with MLS and will take part in the MLS Super Draft next month. While this doesn't have any immediate impact on the club, fans will remember than John did go on trial with the Timbers last summer. While I'm unsure if he impressed the FO, the Timbers definitely got an up close look at how he would fit in with many of our current players making him a potential first round or second round target. Also, keep in mind he's still fairly young at only 20.
