Kenny, no trades, and Not-named signed forward

Kenny Cooper is all but signed: Per Ives' Twitter

Portland's John Spencer told me he's hoping to finalize Kenny Cooper deal today and Timbers are looking at yet another forward.

An attending video after the jump.

There was a video posted interviewing John Spencer today at Soccer by Ives. Soccer by Ives link

Also stated:

1) Will not trade first pick for legacy reasons

2) Another forward, not Kenny Cooper, has been signed but name cannot yet be announced.

I really like hearing this info.  Who we select will stay to play and not be trade bait and we have Kenny nearly secured to play alongside some to-be-named striker [our rumored South American?].

Alright guys, I don't believe I have to say this but, just in case, please do not submit anything racist, homophobic, sexist or otherwise not appropriate for even the younger Timbers fans.
