Major MLS Announcement Planned for Tomorrow
Well here's some interesting information coming from MLS HQ today. Apparently there will be a major announcement set for tomorrow at 3:30PM ET with league commissioner Don garber, and players Landon Donovan and Thierry Henry.
While, at first, many people were assuming that this would be the announcement of the year's schedule I'm not quite so convinced. The inclusion of both Landon Donovan and Thieryy Hanry (the league's two highest profile players) suggests that this announcement is much more than a mere schedule.
Personally, I believe that it has to do with the signing of a new major television contract, probably a renewal with Fox Soccer Channel, although who knows how far along the Versus negotiations went. It will also be interesting to see how much money MLS was able to secure and whether or not it was the $20 million/year asking price (doubtful) or if they met somewhere in between.
We'll see tomorrow. Until then, feel free to hazard any guesses.

FSC is terrible
Versus ain’t much better, but at least they did a proper HD rollout.
I hope it's versus particularly because of the hd thing
And because Fios charges like crazy for fsc.

Not the schedule
G. Arnold from The Oregonian reported today that the schedule will be announced either 2/8 or 2/9 (next week).
Please no more FSC!!!
i am praying to the soccer gods that it is not a FSC contract!
TV Deal?
If MLS is re-upping with FSC then I hope they were able to include games on the main FOX TV network. That would be a by win for the league. Also holding out hope for a single table format but not holding my breath on that!
