Timbers Tid Bits: Frank Lampard Edition

So there have been some "reports" by a couple organizations that have claimed that the LA Galaxy are pursuing Frank Lampard as a replacement for David Beckham. The 33 year old Chelsea is, no doubt, a powerful name in soccer so it doesn't surprise me that these rumors are out there.

That said, I would just like to clarify that everybody should take these reports for that they're worth: rumors. While I have no doubt that LA is looking to replace Beckham with a number of high profile players (if they don't re-sign him) I question the validity of these specific reports. So just keep that in mind...

As an aside, what would you think of Lampard plying his trade in MLS?

Beckham signing showed the world we are serious
Serious we are going to sign retirees? A better stance would have been to increase the regular salary cap, in my opinion.
