Last night saw the conclusion of the Conference semifinals (or, in reality, the quarterfinals) with the Los Angeles Galaxy overcoming their East coast rivals the New York Red Bulls 2-1 (3-1 on aggregate). This means that LA will be taking on Real Salt Lake on Sunday. Looking more to the midwest, we saw Sporting Kansas City overcome the Colorado Rapids and Houston overcome the Philadelphia Union to head to the Eastern Conference finals.
I think the thing I'm most amazed by right now is that, for the first time in a couple years we are going to have a true West-East final. The last time an Eastern conference team made it to the finals was in 2008. Wow!
Both games are this Sunday and, as usual, we'll have recaps shortly after.
