Aside from that we have some interesting pieces regarding the Timbers training from yesterday, an Alaska Airlines "chant" sheet from a commercial they were recently shooting, and an article surrounding the connection between left and right back defenders Rodney Wallace and Jeremy Hall.

Speaking as someone who was invited to participate in the Alaska Airlines ad
I have to defend them by informing you that AA didn’t write the chant, the ad agency did.
And trust me, the 107ist isn’t going to be working with that agency again from what I hear, as they presented that steamy pile to them two months ago, along with 4 alternate versions which were all promptly shot down. So they went back to steamy pile #1.
Let it be known that real TA members were loud and proud with REAL chants during time between takes and earned the ire of the agency “fans” brought in to fill seats, who liked the steamy pile.
Blazers win!
As a consolation
the Timbers Army will not be named in the ad, but the ad will be associated with the Portland Timbers.
FWIW, I’ve heard AA has used the same ad agency for the last 20 years.
Jag kom, jag såg, erövrade jag.
Why are you placing blame?
I thought you guys were the Portland – ABSOLUTELY NO EXUSES FOR ANYTHING!!! – Timbers. Just own it, make it fun.
What others say.
LAG: Home Depot blows, enabling day laborers across the nation.
DCU: Volkswagen helped invade Poland.
FCD: Pizza Hut ruins water quality because of their need for great, fresh tomatoes.
Freddy Adu: Sierra Mist rocks!
Jag kom, jag såg, erövrade jag.
And Alaska Airlines is not exactly the best airliine
for quality service. I don’t care about the sponsors, it’s the crest you root for in the end. Soccer is weird like that for the most part, who the hell knows off the top of their heads what BWIN.com is (Real Madrid) or uses Standard Chartered (Liverpool)? It is what it is, a human billboard, no skin off anyone’s arse. Although I must admit I laughed my butt off at the proposed “chant”. WTH?

Online betting and a bank
(I always look up the sponsors I don’t know when I first see them just so I know)
Imitation is a form of flattery
The TA should be honored as their existence and essence is what prompted the ad in the first place. Yeah, its corny as all get out, but as they say “there’s no such thing as bad press”
Give em hell

As for that "There's no such thing as bad press" assertion, Arnold Schwarzenegger would disagree at the moment.

Given that he was actually in charge of something at that point, it at least mattered.
Arnold is now out of office, so what happens to him doesn’t matter at all. Hence, the bad press is even worse.
