It's not unusual for such things to happen and gifts have been around throughout the history of Fifa. What's happening now for me is hypocrisy.
Jack Warner resigns. Doesn't understand what he did wrong. Well, Jack, times have changed and you didn't adapt.

Read that yesterday
…and it pissed me off.
Don’t complain when you engage in unscrupulous behavoir and get caught. It doesn’t matter if you were the only one or one of many. Integrity is not relative to the size of the group.
At the very least, try to sound contrite. No one wants to hear you bitch about how you were singled out and treated as a scapegoat. Everyone knows that all of FIFA is corrupt. You’re not a scapegoat because your firing doesn’t make the crisis go away. The international community will continue to hold FIFA’s feet to the fire… at least until Kaka signs with Chelsea and we all forget about FIFA’s problems for a day.
"I have something 95 percent of all those All-Stars only wish they had: a World Series ring. If I had to choose between that and being an All-Star, it would be no contest. I’d grab the gold ring and never look back." -Tim Salmon
All I can say is...
Thank god. Warner has been a constant black mark on the CONCACAF region for many years and he clearly had his own agenda at heart rather than the goodwill of the region.
