New trialist in with the Timbers today: Alex Ingentovich (sp?). Serbian.

Anybody have a clue who he is? Google and Wikipedia turned up nothing which leads me to believe the spelling it incorrect. However, it did lead me to this name: Alex Ignatovich, which is still coming up empty.

UPDATE: Looks like the player is Aleksandar Ignjatović who currently plays for Borac Čačak of the Serbian Superliga and has been loaned out to Feyenoord of the Dutch Eredivisie. He is a defender.

ROTTERDAM – Feyenoord en Aleksandar Ignjatovic gaan uit elkaar. De Servische verdediger speelde dit seizoen op huurbasis bij de Rotterdammers, maar nu is besloten Ignjatovic weer terug te sturen naar zijn club Borac Cacak.

De Servische huurling was aangetrokken op basis van een dvdtje en een enkel scoutingrapport. Direct na de overgang van Ignjatovic klonken er in Servië al geluiden dat hij het niveau in Rotterdam niet zou aankunnen. Hij heeft geen enkele minuut speeltijd gekregen in een officiële wedstrijd van Feyenoord. Inmiddels was hij in de hiërarchie ook voorbijgestreefd door de jeugdspelers Bart Schenkeveld en Stefan de Vrij.

After he was signed, some worried he couldn’t handle the level of play. Never got on to the pitch in an official Feyenoord game. Was bypassed by 2 youth players. Also got a 4 game suspension for headbutting an opposing player while playing with Jong Feyenoord in Dec. 2009. They released him in Jan. 2010.

at least he’s a Defender. We really need depth there. Hopefully he’s better than Goldie.
