I went to their friendly against SJ
I highly recommend having your goalie take 90 yard potshots at their net:

Also, Mulumbu, Thomas, and Odemwingie were tearing our backline apart and should have had 2-3 goals instead of just 1 but our rookie keeper david bingham came up with some jedi saves.

Low lying sun conditions do not exist on this North to South field surrounded by buildings.
But we shall try!
Jag kom, jag såg, erövrade jag.
Yup
we lucked out that British folk aren’t used to bringing baseball hats with them traveling. Most MLS clubs that come to SJ remember to bring this important item. Jon Busch has been known to rock trucker hats when we’re defending the sunny side.

Nice, but would rather see a USOC match
Like RSL supporters have told their team, “Trophies, not friendlies.”

I love having friendlies here,
I do think that 4 this season is too many. I’d suggest no more than two in a season.
Since this is the first year of MLS for the Timbers, I think the 4 Friendlies are to gain intrest in people who are not MLS fans.
Hopefully, as the seasons go on, and the Timbers are a better team, the US Open will become more time consuming.
I highly doubt that the USOC will have Jen-Weld hold a match, not enough seats. I’d love it if it happened! I could see one being put on in S*****e because of the size of the stadium.
Friendlies are cash cows for the team, so there will almost always be at least three a season
They’re a necessary evil, at this point.
Perhaps a trade
As a season ticket holder I would much rather have 5 reserve match tickets than 3 friendly tickets. I wanted to see Ajax and Club America, but don’t really care about these other two (and likely will not go to Independente). However, despite their awkward schedule, I’ve been to all of the reserve matches and enjoyed those much more (and plan to go to the rest).
It would be great if the Timbers would give STH's the option to choose between friendlies and reserve matches
I would like to go to both, and while I know reserve matches are dirt cheap and easy to get tickets to, I’m also extremely lazy and far more likely to go if it’s wrapped into my ticket plan.
I'm not anti-friendly but 4 does seem a bit much
Especially 3 in one month when our backs lack depth. But it does pay better than USOC and unlike USOC the games are inked, rather than penciled in. CCL games against Mexican teams would be a cash cow too.
