NTR: Houston's New (Virtual) Stadium
This has nothing to do with the Portland Timbers, but for those of you who, like myself, are simply a fan of new stadiums you can now get a more in depth look at what Houston will have in 2012.
The stadium looks really good, if not a little too orange. I like the two tiered approach by the stadium. Gives it a more authentic feel.
On a related note, I'm checking out the view from the Supporters Group section. Wow! If this is correct some of those guys will literally be right behind the goalkeeper. Not elevated like we are. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing yet.

Portland is one of if not the only stadia in MLS with an elevated seating bowl I believe
It’s cool to be that low, but it’s really hard to see anything on the other end of the field from that perspective – that was one of my big fears at JWP, but the seating bowl is elevated enough that we get a decent perspective on the far end from our seats.
I do like the fact that “supporters club” sections are less than half the cost of the equivalent section on the other side of the stadium.
The ticket prices in that stadium are $400 at the cheapest...
The TA sections season tix are cheaper than their nosebleeds!
Blazers win!
But their SG section...
Is only $250.

The equivalent seat there to my seat at JWP is only about $100 more than my seat was which isn't terrible
All the seats in the middle of the 200 level of the left side of the stadium would appear to be club seats, as they’re $1725 a season as opposed to $500 for the same seats on the opposite side.
Also, don’t forget Portland is a lot smaller city than Houston, with a much slower economy.
What do you mean by "more authentic?"
Pretty sweet looking stadium though.

I guess European...
It’s sort of the archtype Euro-modelled stadium. Two tiers that is.

From what I understand, same designer as the SKC and LAG stadiums.
I think. I know there is a connection somewhere to other MLS stadiums.
