U.S. ROSTER BY POSITION - Detailed Roster
GOALKEEPERS (2): Bill Hamid (D.C.United), Tim Howard (Everton)
DEFENDERS (8): Carlos Bocanegra (Saint-Etienne), Edgar Castillo (Club America), Timmy Chandler (FC Nürnberg), Steve Cherundolo (Hannover 96), Clarence Goodson (Brondby), Michael Orozco Fiscal (San Luis), Heath Pearce (Chivas USA), Tim Ream (New York Red Bulls)MIDFIELDERS (7): Kyle Beckerman (Real Salt Lake), Michael Bradley (Borussia Mönchengladbach), Ricardo Clark (Eintracht Frankfurt), Maurice Edu (Rangers), Jermaine Jones (Schalke 04), Brek Shea (FC Dallas), José Torres (Pachuca)
FORWARDS (5): Freddy Adu (Benfica), Juan Agudelo (New York Red Bulls), DaMarcus Beasley (Puebla), Edson Buddle (FC Ingolstadt), Landon Donovan (Los Angeles Galaxy)
Jurgen Klinsmann has released his line up for the upcoming friendly versus Mexico. It's young, which I like, although he included Ricardo Clark whom I'm still upset with.
Some notables from MLS are Bill Hamid (via DC United), Heath Pearce (via Chivas USA), Brek Shea (FC Dallas), and Juan Agudelo (New York Red Bulls).
A couple that have me scratching my head areSteve Cherundolo, Carlos Bocanegra, and Edson Buddle all of whom will probably be too old for the 2014 World Cup.

Looks like Klinsmann
Doesn’t want to shakes things up too much in the beginning. I kinda makes sense since he only has a couple weeks to put a team together and he probably wants a decent showing versus Mexico next week.

I think some of the glaring abscences
Are because of the start of the season 4 days after the game in many places.
Also in September on an international day the team will have a European game where all the Europe based players can be called in
