Trialists in the SJ Reserve Game
4 Trialists featured, Darryl Roberts, a T&T striker with decent pedigree (Dutch league) currently plying his trade in Turkey whose been in camp this week, Koffi Chrysostome, a CB, played a year at Metz in Ligue 1 (France) and Benin's captain, also plying his trade in Turkey (same club as Roberts), Dillon Barna, another CB, currently playing with Ventura County Fusion in the PDL, but played last year with FC St. Louis (I think this was more likely a guest player than someone we are seriously looking at) and what I am assuming is actually a midfielder (even though he came in Dike) Dylan Lewis. There are a few college players it could be, but given there is basically nothing available on any of them, I'm again assuming he's also a player we aren't that interested in.

Koffi is interesting to me. As a captain for a decent African side, a year with Ligue 1 side, he might be the CB depth/starter we've been looking for.
Roberts doesn't jump out to me really. He had a great scoring rate playing for Carolina right out of college, and perhaps a return to the US would jump start him, but again, not really sure if he's a substantial step up than Johnson and Umony (given he'd be joining midseason and it might take awhile for him to settle in) but I'd want to see in action before really passing judgement. At the very least, its good that we are continuing to look at bringing players in.
Alright guys, I don't believe I have to say this but, just in case, please do not submit anything racist, homophobic, sexist or otherwise not appropriate for even the younger Timbers fans.

I agree on Koffe
He looked good from what that video showed.
On a side note, thanks for posting this. Cool to see who the Timbers are looking at.
Say what you want about America, thirteen bucks still gets you a hell of a lot of mice!
Agreed
I like what I saw, as well. We could really use another experienced, speedy CB for this team. Leadership, grace under pressure – which I imagine playing in Europe would help – is exactly what this team needs in crunch time. Hall and Wallace simply don’t work in that position for our team (imho). And, watching a physical wear and tear that takes place at that position, a little more depth at CB would be most welcome, indeed. Do we know how old Koffi is? I would like to see this happen. Backline help is welcome for the Timbers!

Reminded me that Metz was actually Ligue 2 the year he was playing there, so he doesn’t have that on his pedigree. He’s probably another useful Center Back, but especially if he doesn’t know English (likely), hard to imagine him coming in and really being the #1 CB for us.
So I guess the Kiwi forward didn't catch on?
