Timbers sign Colombian defender Hanyer Mosquera
Mosquera, 24, joins the Timbers after playing the past six seasons in Colombia, including the last two with first-division side Club Deportivo La Equidad Seguros. Last season, he helped lead La Equidad to the finals of the Liga Postobón’s Apertura campaign and competed in the 2011 Copa Sudamericana.
"Hanyer is a player we’ve had our eye on for 18 months," said Wilkinson. "He has all the attributes needed to become one of the top defenders in MLS."

Nice!
Highlights make him look like a baller. Seemingly non-DP contract as well which leaves the door open for more anxiety…
Assuming he starts we’ve got Colombians up the spine, which should help with communication/aclimation.
Very excited!
And take plenty of tissue paper so they can dry their eyes after the game.
Defensive depth.
Can’t wait to see him gel with the team. Big kudo’s to the Timbers for seeing a need for the team from last year, and making two fine additions to solidify our defensive core.
