A close up of the Timbers youngest Colombian striker in his new Timbers training kit: Jose Adolfo Valencia.
I've got some pictures of Hanyer Mosquera as well that I'll show off later.

That actually appears to be a proper mohawk

I think it's more about the lack of other hair
I’m no mohawkologist, but I believe a fauxhawk is where there is still hair on the sides of the head but that it’s taller on top; the fauxhawk is something seen generally on frat boys who are afraid to shave their heads.

I don't know...
Futty has “Futty” instead of “Danso”
(First post after lurking for 1.5 years!)
"I'm not blind, I'm deaf, I'm halfway to a ref!" (Well technically I'm 1/3rd of the way since I can properly call offsides, but that doesn't sound as catchy..)
Thanks for making your presence known!
As far as the name on the jersey goes… MLS has a long history of being absolutely crazy when it comes to what goes on the back of a jersey. A couple years ago Hercules Gomez got into a big row with the league over not being allowed to have “Hercules” on his jersey while native Brazilians like Fred were allowed to put whatever they wanted on there as it was part of their “cultural heritage”.

So what I am saying is...
Who knows. I hope he gets Trencito, though.

But didn't Futty not know his real name until he was older?
I remember that from an interview one time.
Jag kom, jag såg, erövrade jag.
he went by Futty his whole life?
thats awesome, I wish everyone called me a cool nickname

Yeah
Having talked to him a couple of times about that I can confirm that rumor. He did not hear his first name until he was 6 or 7 because he was always called Futty at home, I presume it was because of school that he heard his real name for the first time.

Welcome to the madhouse!
Grab a nametag (oh, wait, you have one already), grab a plate, and dig in!
Blazers win!
Awesome!
Great to have you comment.

That is a true mohawk!
Needs to grow it out a bit. Or would that interfere with headers?
I wonder about how much playing time he’s going to be getting. If the Timbers don’t sign another striker, he’ll be getting a lot of work.
Agreed
The big question surrounding the Timbers is whether they are going to be able to find and sign another striker. I am really glad to see Eddie Johnson back, and send big blessings that the can avoid another blow to the head, and contribute this season. I really liked what I saw during his all-too-brief time on the pitch last year. But I am betting we will see a variety of combinations early in the season. That all important chemistry is hard to define, and finding the right mix of pace and passing and toughness inside the box (which we lacked last season) is going to be interesting go watch.
And, oh yeah, Timbers training camp has started – woohoo!!!
I really want to see someone rock one of these

Just so I can see them do a header and pop a ball

Not him! He's an idiot!
I was thinking more like Neymar.
Great, now I’m going to have Denver Nugget nightmares…
if they ever do a remake of Hook, he'd be a great Rufio
