For those unfamiliar, this is the big "New World" competition with 10 CONMEBOL (South American) and 6 CONCACAF teams competing for one big trophy. It's pretty much the next best thing for a national team to get (World Cup being the first, obviously) and it would be a great opportunity to see the USA compete against the likes of Brazil and Argentina. Also, these sorts of events are great for scouting and, as we know, Portland isn't shy about recruiting South Americans. Still a ways off, but I just want to throw that out there.
