Any player the Timbers sign is always subject to the player passing a full physical exam
The Player is our priority #1 and I am optimistic Valencia will still be a part of our future

Not promising
But definitely not as bleak as it looked earlier. Hopefully he’s ok
Oklahoma State will beat LSU in the National Title game by more than 7 points.

yeah reminds me of when the Quakes sent Edmundo Zura home last year
after he was in camp for 2 weeks and even played 20 minutes against LA they could sense something wasn’t wrong with him and he failed a physical and they sent him home without his money
Win or lose, we'll always be there for you.

would we lose the transfer money
if we void his contract? If Merritt voided his contract and saved say 400k a year on his salary but we bought him for probably 2-3 million would he just have spent 2 million on a guy only to dump him a month later?
Depends
Usually it is not lost because the transfer is dependent on a physical unless you know going into the transfer that the player is injured.

seems likely
that the contract would have been written such that Merritt doesn’t have to pay if he fails the physical.
