Swedish side AIK will, once again, be making the trip across the Atlantic to participate in the tourney.
The Portland Timbers have announced that they will, in fact, be hosting another pre-season tournament here in Portland. The tournament will bring two familiar faces in AIK, the first division Swedish side, as well as the San Jose Earthquakes who also participated last year. This year's tournament also brings FC Dallas who, while not a stranger to Portland, was not involved in the pre-season tournament last year.
Here are the exact dates:
2013 Portland Preseason Tournament Schedule (All times Pacific)
Sunday, Feb. 17
AIK vs. FC Dallas – 2:30 p.m.
Portland vs. San Jose – 5 p.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 20
AIK vs. San Jose – 5 p.m.
Portland vs. FC Dallas – 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, Feb. 23
San Jose vs. FC Dallas – 2:30 p.m.
Portland vs. AIK – 5 p.m.
Individual and group ticket prices for the event have not been announced just yet, but those of you who are season ticket holders can expect to get into the game as part of one of your exhibition games, just as it was last year.
