Poll: Dike + EJ Goals 2012

PrintWhile I am very sad that we might not get to see El Trencito in action this year, I am still very happy about our strike force of Boyd, Perlaza, Nagbe, Dike and Eddie Johnson. This group should provide many different attacking options for the Timbers and have some options coming off the bench that will provide a different challenge for the opposing team.to deal with.
So onto my poll question....I vote 10-15
Alright guys, I don't believe I have to say this but, just in case, please do not submit anything racist, homophobic, sexist or otherwise not appropriate for even the younger Timbers fans.

Tough Call
The homer in me says infinity.
With that being said I am not sure how much playing time either will get and it makes it hard for me to say more than 10 goals. I would think each of them scores about 3-5 if Spencer rotates the forwards more than he did last year. If he doesn’t I could easily see them getting 2 combined like they did last year.

Is for ALL goals, including reserve league and USOC though. I could see them easily scoring 15 combined for the whole season. I don’t think they’ll get more than a handful in regular season games though.

Well that does change my answer a little. I would say a good 10-12 with all the reserve matches.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Johnson is no longer here in 3-4 months but he and Dike will geet all their goals in reserve matches
Getting younger and lots of forwards...
Although with Valencia out for the year I suppose the youth movement at forward is on hold but it seems like Johnson is falling behind further and further. He’s likely behind Perlaza, Boyd, Dike and Nagbe. I think he’s a good player but just won’t get the chances here. He could go back down to USL and be the MVP or maybe a team like Chivas and be a starter or an every game sub.

it is the eternal optomist in me, plus, Dike should be able to mount some real goal totals in reserve league play…
