Boyd has 6 shots so far this year....and 5 of them have been on frame. Last year the Timbers were not so great at getting their shots on frame (lead by Kalif as we all know). This year I really hope to see improvement from all players (again lead by Kalif I hope) in this area of play...however replacing KFC with Boyd alone will likely drastically increase our shots on goal. When Boyd gets anywhere near the box and gets a shot off he hits it on frame...often low and hard. I love this signing more and more!
