Interesting story on FutbolMLS today, claiming Espanyol had a scout at the home opener against Philly, and apparently they liked what they saw (then again, who didn't?). Kalif was on fire that night, no doubt, and being as young as Kalif is, I had expected this type of interest might one day come. Link here.

While Espanyol isn't a top 4 La Liga squad, they have a long history and play in a very visible league. While second fiddle to Barcelona in Barcelona, they are a major club. Thoughts on this? Just chatter? Or is there a real chance we hear some transfer fee money being thrown at the Timbers for Kalif?

I'd personally hate to see him go, as he's really finding his game for us. What do you guys think?
