I decided to use the chalkboard feature on MLSsoccer.com to really break down the players ability to make good decisions with the ball. I took each player and i looked at the following stats: successful passes, tackled and possession lost, successful dribble I purposely left out things like flick ons, headers, defender clearing the ball, crosses, simply because those sort of plays are demanded as part of your job, and shouldn't hurt your overall number with what you actually do with the ball at your feet. Thats my goal of this is if a player has the ball at their feet, what decision are they making and are they keeping the ball for us. This number does not reflect total possession because it doesn't look at how long we are keeping the ball just the decisions made. So join me after the jump to look at the game totals, and the season total so far for the players. Plus i'll add a few thoughts i gathered after putting these stats together.
