Ouch. This is certainly going to hurt the Portland Timbers back line over the next three matches, as Hanyer Mosquera is often the one doing the most to stop oncoming attacks. His absence will surely be felt.

For those that don't know, Mosqo is being fined and suspended for punching LA Galaxy player Jack McBean (yes that's his real name) in the late part of last Sunday's game. It was a stupid thing for Hanyer to do and he should never of let his emotions get to him like that. It's unfortunate that his singular action will hurt the game as a whole.

The suspension is for three games and the fine is for an unknown amount.

So who does this leave for our defense against Seattle this weekend? David Horst, Futty Danso or Andrew Jean-Baptsiste most likely. Eric Brunner is still out with a concussion so he won't see any action.

Definitely not the best case scenario heading into Sunday...
