John Strong: lacks knowledge of the game, can't and doesn't follow the flow of the game with his commentary, is too dependent on stats which I know he doesn't look up but is fed from the production crew, involves Robbie Earle way too much during crucial times in the matches when he should be "calling" the game, and doesn't show a passion for the team as he should as OUR announcer.

Robbie Earle: Why is it that if you are a MLS team you have to have someone from the UK as your color commentator? Yes, he has played the game but his insight on the Timbers is poor to say the least. He butts into the action with his moronic stats and figures, the direction the team should be going, and the commentary is boring to say the least.

If you have ever listened to the radio broadcast it is even worse because the team doesn't have radio only broadcast team. Thus my frustration with the lack of commentary that follows the flow of the game. Hell, earlier this year Strong didn't even describe a goal as it was happening. I had to find out from the roar of the crowd that something had happened. I had to wait to hear that a goal was scored only after the opposing team had kicked off and the score was announced. A few minutes later I found out who scored and how. Time to reevaluate our broadcast team.
