The 2010 PDL Champions will host the 2011 PDL Champions on Sunday, July 15 as the Portland Timbers U23s (10-4-2, 32pts) host the Kitsap Pumas (10-4-2, 32pts) at Gladstone High School, following the Portland Rain v. Eugene Metros FC match at 3:00pm.
UPDATE: The match is scheduled for 6:30 PM.
With identical records and splitting the season series 1-1-1, Portland won the right to host, as well as a berth in the 2013 US Open Cup, because of their greater goal differential. Kitsap and Portland faced each other last Sunday at Hare Field in Hillsboro, OR on an 87th minute goal by Kitsap's Ben Truax, who scored all 3 of Kitsap's goals against Portland. Portland comes in 4-1-1 in their last 6 matches, while Kitsap is 3-2-1.
In the other PDL Northwest Division playoff match, division winners Seattle Sounders U23s (11-2-3, 36pts) will host the quickly fading Washington Crossfire (8-7-1, 25pts) on July 14 at Franklin Pierce High School in Tacoma, WA. Seattle comes in on a 5 match unbeaten run, while Washington is winless in their last 4.
