The Timbers own the MLS rights to Tigres LB Jonathan Bornstein, and as of yesterday his long-rumored transfer/loan to Alante is off the table. Mexico has not been kind to Bornstein, but MLS would certainly welcome him back if he were interested in a return engagement. It didn't look likely a few weeks ago, but with this news one has to wonder.
I'd love to see Bornstein in Timbers green, but I don't know how he'd fit into the team's salary cap and structure. Would he be more valuable to the team as a rights-trade?
Alright guys, I don't believe I have to say this but, just in case, please do not submit anything racist, homophobic, sexist or otherwise not appropriate for even the younger Timbers fans.
