Like a lot of people, I have been saying that the Timbers are inconsistent. Thinking about this though, I realize that they have been very consistent. They are consistently a pretty good team at home. And they are consistently horrible away. In the MLS era, they average 1.808 points per game at home, which is about what they are averaging so far this year. On the road they have averaged a measly 0.583 points per game. Their average this year is considerably less than that. Lat year they won two road games. They have yet to win one this year.
Serious question--not a rhetorical question: What will it take for the Timbers to start winning some games on the road?
