Okay everyone, I want know why is everyone so angry and upset at Gavin Wilkinson? I know we are not playing well right now. I know he is not perceived as being a great coach/gm. But are we so short sighted? While Gavin was coach of the 2nd tier Timbers, we made the playoffs multiple times, won the Cascadia Cup multiple times, and even had a record 18 game unbeaten streak. One could say he was a pretty successful coach. Also I for one have been pretty happy with the talent he has brought into Portland. He has brought in many young players to build around, something that says he is thinking about the future of the Timbers organization, rather than just how do we win in our first few seasons. Now I'm not trying to pick a fight, but I would like to hear from the anti-GW crowd, as to why, with specific examples, he should be fired. Maybe we should all just take a deep breath and realize we are in a drought right now. I'm passionate about my Timbers, and will be until I die, but my wonderful fiancé has helped give me persective on this. If I take a deep breath and think long term about all this, it helps me sleep better at night. Also listening to John Strong on Talk Timbers helps me re-center too. Just a thought people, but I'd seriously like to hear from the more rational voices, as to why we should boot GW. Thanks.
