Portland Timbers Training Catch Up: Day 3 Pictures

The Portland Timbers spent their first week of training in Portland before heading down to Arizona. Here are a few pictures I snapped while at that first week of practice but didn't have time to put up on the site.

Trialist Mikael Silvestre jogs with the team to start off the practice.

Caleb Porter addresses the Timbers senior players after wrapping up the team's warm-ups.

Cameron Knowles talks to a group of the younger Timbers players, while Hanyer Mosquera rides an exercise cycle in the background.

Milos Kocic saves a short range shot from Jake Gleeson during the keepers' warm-ups.

Caleb Porter explains what he is looking for from a game of keep away with the team's senior players.

Kocic dives to make another save during the keepers' warm-ups.

Jack Jewsbury splits Danny Mwanga and Eric Alexander with a pass during a game of keep away.

Diego Chara prepares to control a chipped pass.

Jake Gleeson gets his turn in net while the keepers continue to do their own thing.

Mikael Silvestre dances on the ball to keep it away from Darlington Nagbe.

Silvestre gets by Nagbe.

Michael Harrington plays a cross field pass during one of the day's games of keep away.

Ryan Johnson takes precautions as Silvestre prepares to hit a long ball.

Porter gives instructions on ball movement as the team prepares to run through the 4-4-2 diamond and 4-3-3 formations.

The team is addressed one more time by Porter before wrapping up practice.

Diego Valeri and Diego Chara huggle the ball with Jose Adolfo Valencia (off screen) as the team heads in to the locker room.

The Diegos continue their juggling.

There we go. Hopefully that will tide you over until tomorrow's preseason game.
