I'm guilty, I trolled sounderatheart to get their view of the Eddie Johnson xfer.
I was a little surprised, there were several people of the view that the Sounders had established an external value for EJ (i.e. they believed that the Sounders could get $650k in xfer money from a foreign club, source tbd?) and that they believed that MLS had helped bridge the value between what the Sounders got from DCU (I'm assuming $125k just because I thought that was about the max allocation allowed).
So, questions for the group:
1) Do people believe that MLS helped with the deal i.e. by giving SS additional allocation $
2) Are my numbers of max allocation in the right range?
3) Anyone have any trusted sources on what deal actually occurred?
