In a friendly against Scotland last Saturday, the Portland Thorns FC forward injured her ankle after a rough tackle.
Alex Morgan, known for her ability to score goals like there's no tomorrow, was, unfortunately, injured during this past weekend's USWNT game against Scotland. Apparently in the 41st minute, Scotland's Joanne Love tackled Morgan causing her to lose her footing and, ultimately, injure her ankle.
The good news is that it doesn't seem serious, or at least not serious enough to warrant any fears for Thorns fans. According to US Soccer, she is simply day-to-day.

There's still no word on when the Thorns players will begin reporting in for training here in Portland. My guess is that it's still a few weeks away. By that time, this injury should be far into the past.
Still, we wish her a speedy recovery and we hope it doesn't end up becoming something worse than it is now.
The USWNT, with or without Morgan, will play Scotland again this Wednesday in Tennessee.
What do you think of Morgan being injured during the USWNT friendly?
