Portland Timbers vs. New York Red Bulls Prediction Thread

Doug Pensinger

As the season gets ready to kick off tomorrow, here's our first official prediction thread. Who will win? Who will score?

William Conwell and Mike Donovan have already instituted a new game for everybody to partake in. If you haven't gotten a chance to give your voice to their Over/Under challenge I strongly recommend you check it out as it will be a lot of fun to get the updates throughout the season.

This, however, is something a bit more casual. While we will continue to inundate you guys with previews throughout the season, we're going to kick off a new series of articles that allows you to make wild guesses concerning the upcoming immediate game.

Of course it's simply all in good fun. This is purely for bragging rights only. Still, there's nothing quite so satisfying as guessing exactly how the match will turn out.

Here's what we want:

  1. Game score and who those the goals are for. (Example: 2-1 Portland Timbers over NYRB)
  2. Who scored those goals? (Example: Darlington Nagbe, Ryan Johnson and Thierry Henry)
  3. Which half? (Feel free to include the minute though it's not really necessary.)

Then, during the match thread, we'll be doing our best to keep up with the prediction thread to give kudos to the community members who were either dead on correct, or closest.

It should be a lot of fun!

How do you see tomorrow's game playing out? What are your predictions?
