Pair will miss June 1 match against Red Stars

In a move that should surprise approximately no one, the Canadian Women's National Team tapped Thorns FC forward Christine Sinclair and goalkeeper Karina LeBlanc to play in a June 2 international friendly against the USWNT.

The call-up means Sincy and KK will be taking on fellow Thorns Alex Morgan and Rachel Buehler, both of whom were called up to play for the U.S. ladies. All four will be absent when Portland hosts the Chicago Red Stars on June 1 at Jeld-Wen Field.
