Today's practice at the Timbers Beaverton training facility was a light one as the team only had twelve players in attendance thanks to a combination of international call ups and a reserve game taking place in Tampa tomorrow. Training today consisted of some games of keep away, passing and shooting drills, and some short field games among the coaches and the thirteen players on hand.
It's a short one today as I have to get to work!
Injuries and Absences
With fewer Timbers on hand than are on the road, it makes more sense to just note who was at practice today. The Timbers on hand: Milos Kocic, Michael Harrington, Pa Modou Kah, Andrew Jean-Baptiste, Jack Jewsbury, Will Johnson, Diego Valeri, Diego Chara, Ben Zemanski, Darlington Nagbe, and Frederic Piquionne.
Valeri sat out some of today's practice as he continues recovering from a hamstring strain suffered last week. According to Caleb Porter, Valeri, as well as Kah, will be available for practice next week and the team's game against the Chicago Fire.
Trialists and Guest Players
Filling in as the Timbers second keeper today was Timbers U-23s player Paul Blanchette.
Dustin Corea also continued his time practicing with the team as a guest while his team in Denmark is in the offseason.
