February 1st can't get here quick enough. I think I've read every post that even mentions the Timbers. I have Timbers fever real bad and can't wait to see what this season brings. I've been a supporter for about 10 years now and try to catch every game. There was a time when I stopped watching the games because I thought that if I watched them they would lose, all because I missed one game and they won. That was back when winning was a commodity. All this winning and great talent that is being brought on to the team makes me wonder what Porters mastermind of a plan is. I would love to hear what peoples thoughts are around who will be starting come March. I think we will run a 4-2-3-1
Here is my dream TImbers starting 11:
M/S-Zakuani (if healthy) Nanchoff if not (He had a great year on loan)
I'd like to see if Urruti could be a striker, he's got the speed but I don't know about the ball control.
D-KAH (love this guy keeps the intensity up on the back line)
D-Paparatto (I'd hate to see the great wall of Gambia taken apart, but Futty just doesn't have the ball control) Futty would be my second here
D-Villafana (I'd hate to see cap't jack lose minutes but the guy's getting old)
I see the Timbers as a small fast ball controlling team that others are going to hate. I love how much we pissed other teams off last season with our control and technical ability on the ball. We have so much depth in each position with so many good players to choose from. This is awesome and this is going to be a amazing season.
Let me hear your thoughts people! Representing the army from the poisoned waters of good ole' West Virginia .
