Porter fails to get hint

I am watching the waning moments of the match, and it strikes me how darn clear it was that, despite the fact that Jack Jewsbury opened the season in strong fashion, in THIS particular match the Rapids had him way overmatched on the flank.

He was hanging in there up until halftime, thanks to some courageous backup support by his centers and stoppers...but Porter left him in way too long in the second half as the Rapids clearly found the chink in the T's armor.

One criticism I would like to say about our coach ~ he tends to sub per the clock, as opposed to necessarily reading and properly interpreting what is going on on the field sometimes.

This was a classic case of that. Not the first time Porter has left a struggling player in far too long. Powell should have come in several minutes earlier that the first PK. The writing was clearly on the wall by then.

Oh, well...early in the season, and give the Rapids credit....they look pretty good.

Alright guys, I don't believe I have to say this but, just in case, please do not submit anything racist, homophobic, sexist or otherwise not appropriate for even the younger Timbers fans.
