Sapling Snapshot: Academy Notes

After putting together the U-23s roster yesterday, I was curious as to whether or not former academy kids were playing PDL elsewhere (this does not seem to be the case), among some other queries regarding the academy.

Questions included: How many players from the first year of the program are no longer in the program? How many players graduated from U-16 to U-18? How many are in their second season as a U-18 or U-16? Any new commitments since early signing period?

NEW COLLEGE SIGNEES: Alex Segovia and Rolando Velazquez*, Oregon State

*It kind of appears that Velazquez is no longer in the Timbers Academy, not certain though.

I’m hoping to look over stats and playing time for this years crop of college freshmen over the next few days.
