The guys over at Soccer Made in Portland got a very fascinating interview with Caleb Porter the other day. I hadn't seen it mentioned on here yet and thought some of you might really dig this. CP basically talks at them for over 30 minutes about very specific aspects of his system and how he is running the team. He mentions players by name and how he sees them playing through different scenarios. He also goes in to some good details on his training regimes and discusses how he's trying to undo a lifetime's worth of bad habits in the way most players were taught. It's an abrupt interview, it starts with the conversation already in progress and ends in a similar fashion. They discuss this in the follow up episode and said there wasn't anything important missed. They also discuss/digest everything he laid out in their interview, an interesting episode in it's own right. Anyways, It's a pretty interesting listen and real heady stuff at times, hope you enjoy it!
Looks like she's in town and practicing.
The fishing village did us a solid in putting up the highlights of the reserves 1-0 win. Apologies in advance for the shoddy audio and fish-biased commentary.
I couldn't find video anywhere, but here's the video feed from Sounders. Will be annoying-ly Seattle-centric but at least something more than twitter.
Nothing revolutionary here about soccer, but it is interesting seeing the different sports compared.
Check out this hilarious video featuring former USL Timber Steven Keel. He's now pushing a product to obliterate orange (Dynamo orange)...
Highlight signing for the Thorns is obviously Morgan. But Heath might turn into a better and more important player (for us I hope).
Just so excited about getting this guy, and could not be more happy about watching him play for the Timbers! Well apparently he is pretty excited as well: Tiro Libre interview (article in english)
