Timbers Tid Bits: Kenny Effin Cooper Edition

Kenny Cooper has received his fair share of criticisms this year for under performing based on expectations from fans from when he was an FC Dallas striker. Admittedly it was probably a little unfair for many of us (myself included) to expect a repeat performance of his 2008 self with a brand new team.

That said, his performance and his goal yesterday is the precise reason why we didn't see the Portland Timbers trade Cooper away during the transfer window. The skill is there and when he was successfully linked up with Diego Chara he slammed that goal in. As the team matures I hope we see many more of those goals from him.

Enjoy your afternoon news!
