No huge surprise here, but it has been officially announced that the Portland Timbers will be premiering the secondary Rose City red kits on saturday against the Seattle Sounders at Qwest Field. Those of you who watch Seattle games (to make sure they lose, of course) will remember that they wear a "Rave" green kit typically as their primary kit, this, obviously, clashes with the Portland Timbers primary kit.
No telling on how often we'll get to see these kits being worn, considering the Seattle Sounders are the only other MLS team with any green in their kits. In fact, this could be the last time we see it aside from this year's friendlies against Ajax, Club America and a rumored West Brom side.
Anyway, there's not much more news here. Some people like to place superstition and luck on kit uniforms and combinations like if one color combination of the primary or secondary kit was more likely to secure a win... Meh. I don't really believe in such things. As far as I'm concerned this is just a new look to our already great team.
Can't wait until Saturday!
