So, aside from the usual question/answer exchange which will be coming later today courtesy of our friends at Burgundy Wave, I've decided to create a small scouting report ahead of tomorrow's match so that we kow a little bit about what is expected outside of the questions. Nothing too intense, mind you, probably just a few short paragraphs to make for easily digestible reading.

The biggest news coming out of Colorado's camp is that Omar Cummings, the star forward that ran circles around the Timbers' defenders back in march is confirmed to be out due to an ankle sprain. This is fantastic news for our backline which has been especially shaky of late. We certainly don't need Cummings making it worse. Then again, this shouldn't be hailed as a deal sealer either. Remember in the game against DC United when another fast speedy striker was missing from action but the team overall still managed to grab a victory.

That said, two very important players will be present tomorrow night: Conor Casey and Jeff Larentowicz. While both of these players relied on Cummings in our previous match up for service, both are still incredibly talented individuals that will be looking to seal the deal early on in the game tomorrow night.

Finally, we have Jamie Smith, the player currently leading the Rapids in goals with 3. That might not sound like much, but Smith isn't a striker either. Those of you with vivid memories of March 19th will remember it was Smith who nailed one home from the 30-ish yard line to the upper right corner of the net. Very impressive and very dangerous.

So there you have it, a brief scouting report. No matter what you take from this, just remember that the Colorado Rapids are an incredibly deep squad even without Omar Cummings and defeating them tomorrow night won't be a cakewalk.
