Timbers Tid Bits: Houston Edition

The first time the Portland Timbers have faced off against Houston is Sunday. It'll be an interesting match if not for the action on the field but the stories behind it. Head coach John Spencer and Dominic Kinnear are really good friends. In fact, Spencer, prior to coming to Portland, was Houston's assistant coach. There's also the Timbers two newest players, Mike Chabala and Lovel Palmer who only a few weeks ago were wearing the Orange jersey.

So it'll be interesting to see how the two teams play each other. They, obviously, have quite a bit in common now.

Enjoy the morning news!
