Portland Timbers vs. Oregon State: Preseason Live Blog

The Portland Timbers are facing off against the Oregon State Beavers in a preseason match-up tonight at 7:30. Andy and I are here and will be sharing our thoughts on the game in the comments.

The grounds crew are on the pitch watering up the surface as we speak, and the referees are on the sidelines doing their stretches, so we should be getting ready to go pretty soon.

The Timbers starting lineup has emerged from the tunnel. Jake Gleeson is in goal, Brunner and Futty are the CBs, Purdy at RB and Chabala at LB. Jewsbury and Chara are starting in the middle, with Alexander and Songo'o on the wings. Perlaza and Dike up front. I'd say that's a pretty decent representation of our first team, although obviously we're disappointed not to see Boyd in there. Perhaps he'll come on as a substitute.

The Oregon State lineup is tough to make out but does feature Timbers U23 member Roberto Farfan.

We will continue our coverage of the match in the comments.
