With tomorrow's big game the first since the trading away of both Troy Perkins and Mike Chabala, there's been a lot of opinion and suggestions coming from the fan base on what the Portland Timbers FO should do with regards to players. Obviously, most of you probably wouldn't have traded Perkins away, some of you probably would have traded Chabala. But what about the next big trade?
So here's the deal:
I would like to know who, of any and all Portland Timbers players, would you trade away. Given the opportunity that you could trade him away to a team in exchange for either allocation money or a like minded player. Who would it be, for what, and why?
The reason I am so interested is because I think in the recent trade extravaganza the general voice of the Timbers fan has gotten muddied a bit in all the craziness. Prior to the Perkins trade my guess would be that most people would be Lovel Palmer. Afterwards? I'm not so sure. It seems like tempers and opinions have definitely flared a bit.
One last thing, please keep it civil guys. I know we're in contentious territory with this topic. Be nice, respond respectfully (even if you disagree) and generally just have a good conversation. That's why we're all here right? We all love the Timbers.
