Portland Timbers 2013 Roster Revisited

New, 61 comments

Portland's off season changes have continued before the opening of training camp on January 21st.

In some ways it is not surprising that Portland's roster has continued to change since our last post on the Timbers 2013 roster but in other ways it has been surprising. As a smart lady said on Twitter:

To sum up:

  • Signed Diego Valeri
  • Traded Mike Fucito
  • Bought out Kris Boyd
  • Traded back into the draft (which triggered a prior trade with Chivas and the loss of an international slot)
  • Drafted Dylan Tucker-Gagnes (for more info go here.)
  • Signed a seasoned Right Back (to be announced next week)
  • Signed Steven Evans to a HGP contract
With all of that occurring this is what the roster looks like (in depth chart format):

Currently Portland has 30 players on the roster with the supplemental draft still to come. If a supplemental draftee makes the roster I would be surprised and as this would mean a current roster player needs to released. Portland currently has 9 (possibly 8 internationals on the roster and that number could go down farther if more of our players get their green card.

So with all the additions and subtractions what do you think of the roster now?
