Club Atletico Lanus Confirms Diego Valeri Loan to the Portland Timbers via Twitter

According to the official twitter feed of Club Atletico Lanus, the deal between the Portland Timbers and Lanus is just about finished. Here is what the tweet had to say:

PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL Diego Valeri traveled on Wednesday to the medical examination done to migrate to Portland Timbers, on loan for a year.

As was reported by numerous Argentine media sources earlier this week, it appears as if the loan deal that will see Valeri head to Portland was pretty much spot on.

This would pretty much go hand in hand with the hint that Merritt Paulson dropped on Twitter today with regards to deals being done. According to him today was a great day and we could see a few announcements as early as next week.

No telling what the other "good item" is, but I would say it's a pretty good bet that the Diego Valeri deal wrapping up was part of this hint.
