The Portland Timbers ended the the 2013 regular season with an emphatic away win against Chivas USA. Their 5-0 drubbing was the largest margin of victory by any road team and sent a signal to the other western conference playoff teams that they are heading into the playoffs hitting on all cylinders. Now the Timbers need to prepare for the second season.
This season was a season where the Timbers broke curses and accomplished a whole bunch of firsts. Portland's first win in LA was just this weekend and amazingly they never lost in LA this season. They also recorded their first 2+ goal away win and have the largest margin of victory in a road game this season.
