Portland Timbers at Seattle Sounders Playoff Predictions Thread

We predict the score of tonight's momentous playoff match.

Jaime Valdez-USA TODAY Sports

The Portland Timbers' matches against the Seattle Sounders have been close affairs this year, with more hit posts than goals scored, so it looks like another tight match up as the two teams meet again in the Western Conference Semi-final of the 2013 MLS Playoffs. With such a hotly contested rivalry, picking the outcome is never easy, but we want you to anyway ahead of tonight's game.

Make sure to get your predictions in before the game tonight. Here is what we are looking for:

  • The final score.
  • Who will score the goals.
  • When the goals will be scored.

As always, the more specific (overly specific, even), the better. Feel free to add any additional predictions you might have as well.

Here are last week's winners:

  • cfrank started things off with an epic prediction that included this description of the opening goal: "Valeri opens the scoring in the 15th minute with a cheeky shot from the top right corner f the box, befuddling Bocanegra. Unassisted." Diego Valeri, of course, scored from the top of the box in 15', unassisted.
  • Amazingly, greenlinearmy correctly called the 5-0 scoreline including goals from Will Johnson and Rodney Wallace.

Kickoff is at 7:00, so check in with Nostradamus and get your predictions in. In case you need a hand though, here are our game preview, preview interview, and most recent training report.
