Stumptown Footy's Fantasy League Update: Prizes Edition

An update on how how the leagues are going and who scored the most points this week. Also taking care of some housekeeping we forgot in earlier posts as well as the announcement of prizes!

Scott Olmos-USA TODAY Sports

Every week I will try and update everyone on the state of the Fantasy League as well as announce any important dates and information on the league. This way we all are reminded (including me) to get in and make changes if needed.

Before we get to the updates I need to get some housekeeping things out of the way that have not been taking care of. By participating in this contest you are subject to the official rules which are found here. Please read those rules and abide by them, thanks.

Ok with all of that out of the way let's talk about the good stuff. I teased in my earlier posts that there might be the possibility of prizes but we were not sure if that was going to be possible. You will be please to here that last Sunday I got the email that we will be giving away prizes! I am not sure how we are going to break it down with the two different leagues but the prizes will be:

  • $100 MLS Gear Gift Certificate
  • 2 MLS Match Day Live Subscriptions for the 2014 Season.

I was thinking the person with the greatest overall points will win the gift certificate. Then the winner of the head to head league and second place in the classic will win the MDL subscription. If you have any other suggestions just please put them in the comments.

League Update

Currently the number one overall team in MLS fantasy belongs to one of our readers, Goppingen's Choppa who scored 112 points. They struck gold by including Mike Magee, Fabian Espindola, and Graham Zusi in the starting 11. On the classic side FC Acorns scored 98 points over the weekend (Currently 28th overall for all players) and 5 other teams scored in the 90s.

You have until March 9th at 10:15 am to make any change to your roster. This week the following teams will have no fixtures: Seattle, LA Galaxy, and the Houston Dynamo so don't forget to change your roster as needed. Go here for the injury report and the only disciplinary action is Dwayne De Rosario out due to suspension.
