Game day! The Portland Timbers return home, once again, in an attempt to earn three points, a feat they haven't completed since their away game against Sporting Kansas City. With the way other Western Conference teams performed yesterday, the Timbers can gain quite an advantage. Our Cascadian "friends" helped out immensely against the likes of the other Californian clubs, there's no reason why the Timbers shouldn't be able to join the fray.
Here are all the details:

Final Thoughts
In 2012 Chivas USA managed to earn all 9 points against the Timbers. It's not exactly something you brag about as a Timbers fans, but it is what it is. This year, the Timbers are a much stronger, much more consistent side. Still, Chivas USA is hard to peg. They have an interesting team and an even more interesting head coach. Figuring out just how they'll play and how strong they will be today is a bit of a challenge. Bottom line, expect the unexpected today.
NOTE: This game plays at the same time as the Portland Thorns FC game. Please do not post Thorns results here. Instead use the Thorns match thread. Thank you!
